Recess Policy for Winter

It is the policy of the Portage Township Schools that all children participate in recess. If the temperature is 10 degrees or lower, the children will stay inside for recess. This is, during the winter months, determined on a daily basis. Children bringing notes from home requesting that they stay inside, will be allowed to stay in for two or three days. If parents want their child/children to stay in for longer period of time, a doctor's note is required.
